Way too many alerts

WFSB evidently feels that every bit of news - no mater how insignificant - needs to be sent out as an alert. Today I got an alert about the amount of parking at a state park! I presume the purpose is to drive traffic to the app to increase ad revenue.
Shutting off alerts and/or setting quiet time doesnt stop the alerts.
Dont get if you dont want your phone constantly buzzing.
